Jane
I come to this work as both a widow and a certified Core Energetics practitioner, offering support to those navigating grief, loss, and significant life transitions. My lived experience of bereavement, alongside years of professional practice, has shaped a deep respect for the complexity of grief and the many ways it lives in the body. I believe that healing unfolds not only through understanding, but through presence, pacing, and compassionate attention. Embodied Solace was born from this understanding.
Grief to Growth Process
My practice is grounded in Core Energetics, a psychosomatic, body-centred modality that blends talk-based inquiry with somatic techniques. Core Energetics understands the body as a holder of emotional memory and life experience. By listening closely to the body, we begin to notice where feelings live, how they move, and where energy may become held or restricted.
Through gentle, targeted practices, we work directly with these patterns, supporting greater emotional regulation, ease, and flow. This approach allows for insight to emerge not only cognitively, but through embodied experience, creating the conditions for deeper integration over time. I offer a steady, intuitive, and relational container, particularly for those moving through ambiguity, uncertainty, or profound change. My work combines compassionate listening with somatic awareness to support grounding, clarity, and reconnection with one’s inner resources. I specialise in 1:1 work, supporting clients in reconnecting with their bodies, accessing voice, and finding meaning and purpose after loss.
Story
I am a certified Core Energetics practitioner and hold a BA in Sociology. Prior to entering private practice, I worked extensively in the fields of health and affordable housing, experiences that continue to inform my orientation toward service, equity, and care. This background has equipped me with the sensitivity and skill to navigate complex emotional and systemic terrain with patience, nuance, and respect.
